Navel Piercing?

So, i got my navel pierced a couple of months ago and i thought it was healed enough at 5 months (i know, stupid) and i changed the jewelry. ( after sterilizing it with rubbing alcohol and changing it with gloves) everything was all good until i noticed a small bump near the top hole a couple days after. i've had the new jewelry in for 2 months and presently, the bump is big and filled with something ( blood? pus?) i'm not sure if i should squeeze it or?? i'm changing it back to the original jewelry asap but im worried about this bump. anything i can do to help? i've been doing sea- salt soaks right now.

  • All you can do is sea salt soaks.

If you do change it, have your piercer do it. Nothing you used was sterile. The rubbing alcohol just smeared around the most resistant bacteria, and it didn't physically remove much either, so that is probably the source of the irritation causing the bump. It could also be from the low quality jewelry you have, or if it is heavy.

Go to your piercer and have them help you.
