Hows My Leg Workout?

Just wondering if I'm doing legs right , I'm doing 200 squats with 30kg bar

200 calf raises with 30kg bar

200 lunges

And 200 regular calf raises

Over 4 sets, (50 reps each exercise)

Just curious if there's anything wrong with this or anything I can add to make gains in my legs?

  • What kind of "gains" are you expecting? If you are trying to get stronger....You're doing it all wrong. You're pretty much doing it all wrong whatever you're trying to do.

    200 repetitions? Pray tell, where are you getting your information?

    This has become as easy for you as doing "free" squats would be for most folks.

    If you are trying to get stronger, then you need to go the other way entirely. Much (MUCH!) heavier weights. You want something that will limit your repetitions to about 12, and work your way up to 16 or so, then add weight and go back to 10-12.

    Same for your other exercises.

    If you are after body-building type size gains, then again...12 or so repetitions over 4-5 sets at max.
